The Facts

However, it was this adversity that ultimately fueled Erica's drive to prove otherwise and to become the person she needed during that time—someone who speaks life into children and encourages them to rise above negative words.

Additionally, her brother’s diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder also deeply influenced her path forward. Witnessing his struggles with societal perceptions and a lack of inclusivity pushed Erica to pursue a career in Architecture and Interior Design, focusing on creating inclusive environments for individuals with mental and physical differences. She recognized how words and environments can either uplift or limit a person’s potential, and she became determined to change that narrative for others.

During her time in high school, Erica faced discouragement from a teacher who openly doubted her abilities, telling her that she wasn’t smart enough or good enough to succeed. This negative experience created self-doubt that lingered for years, preventing her from fully believing in her potential. It took time and persistence to overcome those words' impact and reclaim her confidence.
